Offense was hard to come by for Magnolia Heights as Madison-Ridgeland Academy torched the Chiefs in a 63-10 final Friday, Aug. 23.
Magnolia Heights picked up an early field goal, but the visiting Patriots scored 35 points in the first quarter. Things went from bad to worse for the Chiefs, as MRA added three more touchdowns in the second quarter, taking a 56-3 halftime advantage.
Though MHS did reach the end zone for the first time in the third quarter, the Patriots added one more score in the fourth quarter, delivering a parting shot to the Chiefs.
Magnolia Heights fell to 1-1 on the season with the loss, while MRA jumped to 2-0 overall. The Chiefs will look to get back in the win column against Northpoint Christian on Friday, Aug. 30, at 7 p.m.
