We saw in our last lesson that Satan hindered the apostle Paul for a time, from going to other cities where he would spread the gospel.
1 Thessalonians 2:18 “for we wanted to come to you I Paul again and again, but Satan hindered us.
We asked the question, is Satan hindering us?
Let’s look at another occasion from the book of Ezra where the people of God were hindered
Ezra 4:4 -5 “then the people of the land tried to discourage the people of Judah, they troubled them in building, and hired counselors against them to frustrate their purpose all the days of Cyrus king of Persia…”
Still today people try to discourage the work of the lord’s people, the devil is at the heart of this. He wished that all will be lost, he wishes that all will be cast into everlasting punishment with him and his angels. He walks about as a roaring lion seeking who he may devour, we are told to be alert and sober minded because of this 1 peter 5:8
Is the devil trying to hinder you? Is he trying to hinder me? Is he succeeding?
