Vernon Aubrey Herron III of Batesville, MS, 81, died on October 5, 2022, in Oxford, MS. Vernon was born on February 16, 1941, in Grenada, MS, to Vernon Aubrey Herron, Jr. and Phyllis Kuykendall Herron. He is survived by his wife Edith (Edye) Tucker Herron; his son Brian Tucker Herron of Batesville, MS; and daughter Laura Herron Rounsaville (John) of Madison, MS; three grandchildren, Luke, Graham, and Jane Reese Rounsaville. He is also survived by three brothers: Dean Herron of Senatobia, Mississippi, David Herron (Barbara) of Charleston, Mississippi, and Jeff Herron (Pam) of Batesville, Mississippi; and many nieces and nephews. Vernon was a member and faithfully attended First United Methodist Church in Batesville. Funeral services were held Monday, October 10th at the First United Methodist Church in Batesville. Interment followed in Batesville at the Magnolia Cemetery. Dickins Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
