We can quote numerous Scriptures and still be in the dark if we do not comprehend the visible and believe the invisible is real. That means we need to understand something more about the heavens and the earth and life therein. What is visible and natural is relatively easy to understand, but what is invisible and supernatural is not so easy to comprehend or believe.
Many did not believe Jesus though He performed many signs in their presence (John 12:37). Even when He raised Lazarus from the dead, there were unbelievers. When He rose from the dead, there were doubters. "Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets. And now in these final days, he has spoken to us through His Son. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son he created the universe" (Hebrews 1:1-2). Sometimes, we just need to take a leap of faith.
Humble yourself and think about it this way. We can know something and not understand it. We can understand something and not appreciate it. We can appreciate something and resist doing it. However, we do need to remember that when everyone called by His name reflect their faith in His glory "Then the eyes of the blind will be opened, and the ears of the deaf unstopped" (Isaiah 35:5). Seeing His glory highlighted by so many could be the catalyst some people need to turn from darkness to light, breaking the hold Satan has on them that is keeping them from turning to the power of God.
I face many difficulties in life, and I have learned the best way to face difficult circumstances is to embrace hope and maintain faith in God. As we recover from a worldwide pandemic, circumstances push us to the brink by sickness and death, but we are not crushed. Races and cultures clash and we are still not crushed. In February and March of 2020, we entered a period of uncertainty that propelled us to new highs and new lows. Businesses shut down, children were taken out of school, jobs were lost, and people were told to distance themselves from each other.
In times like these, we should unite instead of pulling apart. We should double our efforts to make Scriptures known to the ends of the earth. Instead of being mean-spirited, we should be considerate, kind, and spiritually discerned. "Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come” (Revelation 4:8)!
When we believe and act on that belief, we can sink to new lows and still not be destroyed! Victory is ours, "For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith" (1 John 5:4). Truly I tell you evil cannot touch the soul of anyone born again; we triumph over destruction.
