Thomas John Fraser
Thomas John Fraser, 84, passed away at his home in Senatobia, on Wednesday, November 8, 2023. Thomas was born in Kingston, Jamaica, on June 26, 1939, to Helen May Pudey Fraser and Edmund Arthur Fraser. Thomas was a parishioner of St. Gregory’s Catholic Church in Senatobia. He loved the outdoors, the ocean, and athletic competitions of any kind. Thomas excelled in soccer, which he played while in college, was an avid golfer and was always ready to play a good game of cornhole with family and friends. Thomas was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His grandchildren lovingly called him “Grandpa”. He was even “Grandpa” to their friends, and it thrilled his heart when they would call his name and give him a hug. Left to cherish his memory is his loving family, which includes his wife of seventeen years, Gloria Fraser of Senatobia, MS; one daughter, Kim Haney (Randy) of Senatobia, MS; one son, Kenneth Garner (Courtney) of Nesbit, MS; two brothers, Peter Fraser and Paul Fraser, of Jamaica; seven grandchildren, Tanya Haney (Michael), Dalton Haney (Mari), J.T. Haney, Kori Gunn, Nikki Hampton (Haywood), Lindsey Allen (Bart), Kendyl Hunsucker (Preston); eight great-grandchildren, Trey and Jayden Gunn, Wesley and Sydney Allen, Henry, Ava Rose, and Olivia Hunsucker, Jax Hampton; and many loving friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Edmund Fraser, and one great-grandchild, Kyle Kinzer. A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church, 705 Strayhorn Street, Senatobia, on Nov. 25, at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
