The annual Tate County Fair is coming to Senatobia and promises to be bigger and better than ever.
The four-day event runs Wednesday, May 18 through Saturday, May 21, at the fairgrounds east of the former site of Chromcraft on Norfleet Drive.
Carnival rides, livestock display, petting zoo, square dance demonstration, wrestling, and a Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association (PRCA) Rodeo are a few of the exciting attractions visitors will find at this year’s fair.
Gates will be open from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, and noon until 11 p.m. on Saturday.
Admission to the fair is $5 and children five and under get in free. First responders and their families get half-priced entry each day. Wristbands for carnival rides will be sold inside the fair for $15 on Wednesday and Thursday and increase to $20 Friday and Saturday.
Redeemed Wrestling, a religious ministry based in Tate County, takes centerstage Thursday with an action-packed performance from 7-10 p.m.
For the second consecutive year, a PRCA Rodeo will be featured Friday from 7-9:30 p.m. Admission is $15 and includes entrance to the fair.
A day full of exciting events on Saturday kicks off at 10 a.m., with the Dexter Cow Show at Northwest Farms on Highway 4 West. A square dance demonstration will be held on the midway at 5 p.m., followed by an open Buckwild Bull Riding contest at 6 p.m. A live concert on the midway music stage will take place from 7-10 p.m.
