Tate County Circuit Court records show the following sentences were among those handed down during the January 2024 Vacation terms of court.
According to court records, the following decisions were handed down in Judge Jimmy McClure’s court:
• Summer Nicole Smith, of Hernando, was sentenced to nine years post-release supervision to run consecutively with previous sentencing after a guilty plea on a charge of taking away of a motor vehicle – $5,000 to $25,000. She must pay $1,605.90 in court costs.

Tate County Circuit Court records show the following sentences were among those handed down during the February 2024 Vacation terms of court.
According to court records, the following decisions were handed down in Judge Jimmy McClure’s court:
• Larry Darnell Brown, of Clarksdale, was sentenced to five years non-adjudication in intervention court after a guilty plea on a charge of possession of marijuana – 30 to 250 grams – while in possession of a firearm. He must pay $2,356.90 in court costs.
• Amanda Leigh Chase, of Moscow, Tenn., had her probation revoked to serve 41 days in Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) on a charge of possession of methamphetamine – 0.1 to two grams as a recidivist. She must pay $2,347.30 in court costs.
• Antonio Ledarrius Washington, of Memphis, had his probation revoked to serve seven years in MDOC on a charge of receiving stolen property as a habitual offender. He must pay $2,004.80 in court costs.
According to court records, the following decisions were handed down in Judge Smith Murphey’s court:
• Coy Michael Eugene Edmond II, of St. Louis, Mo., was sentenced to one day in MDOC and four years, 364 days post-release supervision after a guilty plea on a charge of failure to register as a sex offender. He must pay $1,863.50 in court costs.
• Jarrod Robert Gant, of Sarah, was sentenced to 15 years in MDOC and 15 years post-release supervision after a guilty plea on a charge of possession of child pornography/ child exploitation to run consecutively with previous sentencing. He had nine charges of possession of child pornography/ child exploitation, a charge of felon in possession of a weapon and a charge of failure to register as a sex offender remanded to the file. Gant must pay $3,763.50 in court costs.
• Markinski Equitt Martin, of Memphis, was sentenced to 11 days in MDOC and four years, 354 days post-release supervision after a guilty plea on a charge of felony fleeing. She must pay $1,768.30 in court costs.
• Jaiden Jamal McClinton, of Senatobia, was ordered to consecutively serve six years in MDOC and one year of post-release supervision after a guilty plea on a charge of burglary of a building as a habitual offender, seven years post-release supervision after a guilty plea on a charge of burglary of a vehicle as a habitual offender, and seven years post-release supervision after a guilty plea on a charge of burglary of a vehicle as a habitual offender. He had two charges of petit larceny as a habitual offender and a petit larceny charge remanded to the file. McClinton must pay $2,487.50 in court costs.
• Jaiden Jamal McClinton, of Senatobia, had his probation revoked to serve 12 years in MDOC on a charge of robbery to run concurrently with previous sentencing. He must pay $1,740.65 in court costs.
• Crysania Runna Meadows, of Coldwater, was sentenced to five years non-adjudication after a guilty plea on a charge of conspiracy to possess methamphetamine with intent to sell. She had a charge of possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell – two grams or less – remanded to the file. Meadows must pay $1,815.50 in court costs.
• Quintin Charles Turner, of Lake Cormorant, was sentenced to five years non-adjudication in intervention court after a guilty plea on a charge of possession of tetrahydrocannabinol with intent to sell – two grams but less than 10 grams. He must pay $16.80 in court costs.
• James Robert Wade, of Sardis, was sentenced to five years in MDOC and 20 years post-release supervision after a guilty plea on a charge of sale of controlled substance – methamphetamine 2 to 10 grams as a recidivist. He must pay $2,756.30 in court costs.
Some of the final decisions reported here may be the result of plea negotiations. By law, circuit court judges are not involved in plea negotiations. Most sentences are the result of a negotiated agreement between the district attorney and defendant.
