Sylvester Wooten, 59, of Coldwater, MS died Friday, September 30, 2022 in Batesville, MS. Funeral services were held Saturday, October 8, 2022 at West Antioch #2 Church in Coldwater, MS. Burial followed in Mt. Patient Cemetery in Senatobia, MS. He is survived by three daughters; Alacondria Wooten of Como, MS and Evesal Gardner and Jalesha Gardner both of Senatobia, MS; two sons, Marcus Wooten and Jimmie Wooten Sr both of Grand Rapid, MI; ten grandchildren and a special friend, Patsy Oliver of Coldwater, MS. He is also survived by six sisters; Vernessa Ward, Marie Worles and Pattie Sue Jackson of Senatobia, MS, Josie Carr of Coldwater, MS, Murry Jean Black of Sardis, MS and Isabella Milan of Byhalia, MS; 11 brothers, Murry Wooten, Lander Wooten, Melvin Wooten and Vinson Porter all of Senatobia, MS, James Wooten, Chester Wooten and Lavarn Newson all of Como, MS, Eddie B. Newson and Willie B. Newson of Byhalia, MS, Kenneth Newson of Southaven, MS and Robert Newson of Cape Girardeau, MO. Rodgers Funeral Home in Coldwater, MS was in charge of arrangements.
