Strayhorn Junior Beta Club brought back numerous awards and was named to have received the most awards of any school in the nation.
The Beta Club attended State Convention in February in Biloxi and placed in the top five in 36 academic and arts competitions, with 10 of those being state champions.

The club advanced to compete in Nationals at a convention held in Savannah, GA, in June. Members placed in the top 10 in 19 academic and arts competitions, with seven National Champion awards. It was annouced at the meeting that Strayhorn Junior Beta Club won the most awards of any school in the nation during the previous year’s competition.
In the previous year, Strayhorn placed in the top five in 22 competitions and placed in the top 10 at nationals held in Louisville, KY in nine competions.
