There were sporadic reports of damage after summer storms moved through and Senatobia and Tate County on Wednesday, Sept. 6.
The brief bout of turbulent weather prompted the National Weather Service to issue three separate thunderstorm warnings for Tate County, resulting in minor impairments to a few residences and businesses as well as downed trees and power lines and poles.
A section of façade of the BankFirst building at 207 East Main Street in Senatobia was damaged after a tree fell. Local emergency officials reported a tree toppled onto a home in Como Trace Estates.
According to Entergy, approximately 225 customers were without electricity as of 9 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 7. An outage map showed power was restored to all areas before midnight.
