ITTA BENA, Miss. (AP) — Dailin Smith's 17 points helped Alabama A&M defeat Mississippi Valley State 78-70 on Monday night.
Smith also added seven rebounds for the Bulldogs (3-12, 2-0 Southwestern Athletic Conference). Lorenzo Downey scored 14 points and added five rebounds. EJ Williams was 6 of 13 shooting and 1 of 4 from the free throw line to finish with 13 points.
Rayquan Brown and Donovan Sanders each scored 23 points for the Delta Devils (0-15, 0-2). Darrius Clark finished with seven points and two steals.
