Prior to the start of the Class 3A playoffs, Senatobia senior Tiara Abron added another honor to her growing list of accolades.
Abron was voted as the state’s Player of the Week by SB Live, beating out 15 other players, including Kaniyah Walker from Independence. Abron scored 20 points in the Lady Warriors’ 74-20 win against North Panola in the Region 2-3A Tournament and added another 22 points in a close loss to Independence in the championship contest.
Abron concluded her high school career in Senatobia’s 1,000-point club, an honor she reached during the Lady Warriors’ regular season win against Winona in late January. SHS also defeated Winona in the opening round of the Class 3A state playoffs, before falling to Belmont in the second round.
