The Nation's Weather for Saturday, April 16, 2022
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
An area of showers will move through the Northeast tomorrow.
Some of the showers could contain small hail and a rumble of
thunder in New Jersey, southern New York and eastern
Pennsylvania. The air may be just cold enough for a few
snowflakes to mix in across parts of upstate New York.
Showers and thunderstorms from Arkansas to Georgia are
expected to have locally heavy downpours. The rain may be
heavy enough for isolated instances of flash flooding. The
risk for severe weather is low, but the strongest storms
will be capable of producing hail and gusty winds. Much of
the West will have beneficial late-season precipitation with
rain showers along the coast and snow in the higher
elevations. Unfortunately, this precipitation will not reach
Southern California or the Southwest.
