NATIONAL SUMMARY
During the day tomorrow, thunderstorms will be able to turn
severe from eastern Kansas through portions of Iowa,
Nebraska and Missouri, bringing the risk for hail, strong
wind gusts and flash flooding due to repeated downpours.
Additional coverage of thunderstorms extends across parts
of Minnesota, Wisconsin and western Michigan into the night,
with spotty thundershowers as well for eastern sections of
Montana and Wyoming. Monsoon thunderstorm activity will
redevelop in the Southwest, particularly in New Mexico and
southeastern Arizona, with most areas to the north and west
through the West Coast mainly dry as an extreme heat wave
gets underway for many in California. The corridor from
Texas through the mid-Atlantic and Northeast will stay dry,
with thunderstorms in the Southeast.
