Murphy Jones, 46, of Arkabutla, Miss., passed away at his residence on Monday, March 9, 2026.
He loved the Lord and worshiped at Ebenezer Baptist Church. Murphy was a collector of many things, including Legos, G.I. Joes, Smurfs, and vehicles. He loved to spend time with family and friends, outdoors, and hanging out in his shop.
Murphy is survived by his wife, Melissa Jones; daughters, Miranda Smith (R.J), Mackenzie Jones, Lilli Fussell, and Emerie Jones; son, Jess Murphy Jones; mother, Sandra Jones; siblings, Tommi King (Rich), Bob Jones (Lindsay), Emily Jones, and Willie Shorty (Tasha); grandson, Ruston Thomas Smith; 10 nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Jones, Jr., and grandparents, Robert and Tommie Jones, Maxine Wells, and Vance Wilbanks.
‘Services were held Thursday, March 12, 2026 at 1 p.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church.
Burial followed in Surretts Cemetery.
Pate-Jones Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
