Mr. Morice Blackburn was born on March 25, 1946, in Coldwater, MS to the late Mr. Henry Blackburn and Mrs. Mary Frances Cox Blackburn of Coldwater, MS. He graduated from Tate County High School, in Coldwater, MS. He confessed Christ at an early age, where he was a faithful member at East Antioch Baptist Church until his health failed. He served as treasurer, Sunday school teacher, and male chorus member. He was united in holy matrimony to Mrs. Vera Elion Blackburn, and to this union one son was born. Morice departed this life peacefully on February 3, 2025, with his family at hisIncluding his parents, Morice was preceded in death by one sister Wilma Walls, and one sister-in-law Angela (William) Jones. Morice leaves to cherish his memories his wife Vera Elion Blackburn, son Tracy (Teresa) Blackburn, God son/brother-in-law Stacy (Phylicia) Elion, and two granddaughters Starr and Taylar. His three sisters, Pearlie Mae Jones, Betty Jean (Joe) Copeland, Unice Gardner, and one brother Jack (Mary) Blackburn. A Father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Will Eddie Elion, Sr., four brother-in-laws, Will Eddie Jr. (Donna), Rodney (Darla), Darin (Jackie), William (Angela), three sisters-in-law Vernester (George) Phillips, Virginia (Aubrey) Bryant, Carla (Rickey) Robertson, and a host of nieces and nephews.
