MHS Class of 1974 reunites
The Class of 1974 at Magnolia Heights School celebrated with a 50-year reunion on the campus of MHS. Alumni and former teachers and coaches were welcomed back to the campus by Head of School Cliff Johnston, a 1993 graduate himself and they were all impressed with the campus upgrades and additions to academic and extracurricular buildings and athletic facilities. Those in attendance were Linda Brewer English teacher, senior sponsor and tennis coach), Robbie Payne Key, Debra Lance Ellis, Gwin Gilliland Cumbaa, Gay Gaines Lishman, Diane Pennington Sims, Marilyn Price Whitworth and Marcia Williams Kidder. Back row: Bo Spier, Ken Roberts Jerry May, John McCrary, Bub Smith, Bobby Moore, Jim Pitcock (Girls basketball coach, assistant football coach, HS Physics/ A&P instructor), Eddy Hannaford, Johnny Clark, Jimmy Presley and David Strickland. The school hashtag #NJASAF (Not Just a School a Family) certainly rings true for this group of alumni.
