One of three men arrested in connection with the break in of a local convenience store has been sentenced in Tate County Circuit Court.

Investigators told the Tate Record deputies from the Tate County Sheriff’s Office responded to an alarm at the address and observed a broken window at the convenience store and a suspicious vehicle with three black males inside parked at the Independence Volunteer Fire Department near the intersection of Highway 306 and Highway 305.
The investigator said one of men attempted to flee the scene as deputies approached the vehicle before he was apprehended.
The other two men arrested in connection with crime identified by investigators as Liquincy Mitchell, 20, of Coldwater, and Keylante Cortez Wright, 21, of Coldwater, had all charges related to the matter remanded to the file.
Both men were indicted by the Tate County Grand Jury in March of 2018 in connection with a separate incident involving a home invasion.

The charges stemmed from an incident in Tate County on Aug. 21, 2017.
