Although the book has been closed on the 2020-21 athletic season for a couple months now, Senatobia High School is still being rewarded for a stellar year of competition.
Scorebook Live, the new host site for high school athletics in Mississippi, labeled SHS for a second place finish in its MHSAA Class 3A All-Sports awards. The Warriors finished with a composite score of 225 after winning state titles in boys’ cross country, boys’ track and girls’ track.
Senatobia’s total score also accounted for playoff runs in girls’ and boys’ basketball, along with softball. Additionally, the Warriors also made the postseason in football, volleyball, boys’ soccer, girls’ soccer and baseball.
Finishing ahead of Senatobia in the top spot was St. Andrew’s Episcopal School, a private school that won seven state titles, including boys’ basketball. The Saints finished with 320 total points, but the Warriors still placed ahead of third-place finisher Kossuth (212.5), Amory (170) and Booneville (142).
Rounding out the top 10 was sixth place Alcorn Central (140 points), Water Valley (127.5), Winona (117.5), Magee (110) and Franklin County (100).
