Lurlene Oglesby Willhite, 83, of Independence, MS departed this life on January 10, 2022 at Baptist Memorial Hospital DeSoto. Lurlene is survived by her husband Earl George Willhite; children, Bobby Earl Willhite (Shirley) and Betty Gail Jones; 2 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; sisters, Maxine Oglesby Scruggs, Carrol Oglesby Harris, Geraldine Oglesby Lester, and Brenda Oglesby Jones (Bobby) and brothers, Freddy Oglesby (Carolyn), Eddie Oglesby (Theresa) and Rex Oglesby (Carol). Lurlene was a faithful member of Thyatira Church of Christ. Services were held Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Thyatira Church of Christ. Burial followed in Thyatira Cemetery. Pate-Jones Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
