Linda Mathews Broadway died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on July 4, 2022. Linda was born July 19, 1947, in Panola County, Mississippi. She graduated from Coldwater High School in 1965 and married the love of her life, Lonnie Martin Broadway, on September 3, 1965. Linda worked for Coldwater Elementary School for many years and then later went on to work for MDHS until her retirement. She was a longtime member of Arkabutla United Methodist Church. Linda is preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Martin Broadway; and her parents, Edwin E. Mathews, Janie O. Holloway, and Charles M. Holloway. She is survived by her three daughters, Melody Crutcher (Tracy) of Senatobia, Alicia Todd (Jeff) of Nesbit, and Marti Woodruff of Arkabutla; grandchildren, Lissa Beth Owens (Hal), Cass Cole, Evan Walls (Sarah), Marlee Presley (Tyler), Dylan York, Dawson Woodruff, Braxton Woodruff, Tyler Crutcher, and Alex Crutcher; and eleven great-grandchildren. Services were held Thursday, July 7, 2022 in the Chapel of Pate-Jones Funeral Home. Burial followed at Hopewell Cemetery in Arkabutla.
