Kris Dixon
Kris Dixon, 61, known in the Senatobia area for his Looxahoma shop, Painting by Kris passed away on September 26, 2024. He would weld, paint and sandblast various types of heavy equipment and farm equipment. Throughout his lifetime, he also built magic props and equipment for his father, Jimmy Dixon as well as for his brother, Kim Dixon and many famous magicians. Although he was self-taught, his attention to details and engineering skills kept him in high demand He toured the entire country for many years with his father performing in various venues including casinos, fairs, trade shows and festivals. Kris is survived by his wife, Judy Dixon; father, Jimmy “Bud” Dixon; brothers, Kim Dixon and Kevin Dixon; and sister, Mellody Henson. His mother, Marylynn Dixon and brother, Kerry Dixon preceded him. His wit and wise cracks will be sorely missed. A graveside service was held Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at Looxahoma Church of Christ Cemetery. Pate-Jones Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
