Kathleen Elizabeth Moss (Kippy), 87, of Arkabutla, Miss., passed away peacefully in her home on February 27, 2026.
No verse describes her more than this..."Her ways are ways of pleasantness and all her paths are peace." Proverbs 3:17
Kippy was uniquely beautiful in her soul and her talents extended beyond brilliance. They included: musician; with an angelic voice and ability to play both piano and autoharp. Artist; her artistic talent was immeasurable from paintings, pen and inks and blessing cards. Writer; Kip was an outstanding writer as well; from poetry, short stories and even musical scores. Naturalist and animal activist; Kip loved everything from trees to critters.
She was an animal rescuer from birds, cats, to even an opossum that she raised and named Maggie Belle. The best way to describe her is "uniquely remarkable" in everything she did.
Kathleen Elizabeth Moss (Kippy/ Kip), will best be known for the way she loved unconditionally, as a mother, nana, sister and friend... purely and joyfully from the soul.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Herbert and Helen Mina Moss and brother, John Douglas Moss.
Kippy is survived by her daughter, Lensi Megan Jones (Jeffery Glenn Jones); son, Douglas Benedict Schlueter; sister, Margaret Jean Moss (Curt Glen Riebeling); grandson, Spencer Paul Meyers, and great grandchildren, Knox Royer, Adilynn Jones, and Oliver Jones.
Memorials may be sent to an animal shelter of the donor’s choice. Kippy lived in many different places and touched so many hearts throughout the country.
A private service will be held at later date.
Pate-Jones Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
"I walked the earth, bound in jaded slippers, heavy worn, in wind and rain.
"Each time I struggled not to wear them I had no feet, but felt their pain.
"I then heard the angels calling and my need was carried to their sky and hid beneath their pinions ‘round me,
I unbound the slippers and could fly."
K Moss.
