Galatians 5:1 TPT Let me be clear, the Anointed One has set us free-not partially, but completely and wonderfully free! We must always cherish this truth and stubbornly refuse to go back into the bondage of our past.
The call to ministry isn’t about perfection; it’s about freedom. God doesn’t wait until you’ve got it all together to use you. He meets you in your mess and walks with you into freedom.
This week is all about identifying the things that are holding you back, such as fear, sin, and insecurity, and inviting God to help you walk in victory.
JESUS DIDN’T JUST SAVE YOU FROM SIN; HE SAVED YOU INTO A LIFE OF FREEDOM.
This is called sanctifying grace, the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit that shapes you to look more like Jesus. You may not be perfect, but God is constantly working on you. God loves you as you are, but He won't leave you that way. The more you surrender, the more space you give Him to transform you.
1.) FREEDOM STARTS WITH HONESTY.
James 5:16 NIV Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
You can’t heal what you hide. God already knows your struggle; He’s just waiting for you to bring it into the light.
There is real power in being honest with God and with people you trust. The enemy wants you to stay quiet and stuck, but God offers healing when you're willing to be real. Hiding your struggles only gives the enemy more control of your thoughts and emotions, but honesty leads to healing, freedom, and peace.
Application: Identify one area you need freedom in and talk to a parent, friend, trusted leader, or mentor about it this week. Ask for prayer.
2.) YOU’RE NOT FIGHTING FOR VICTORY, YOU’RE FIGHTING FROM IT.
Romans 8:37 NLT No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.
Jesus already won the battle on your behalf. You don’t have to earn freedom; you have to receive it and walk in it daily.
Here’s the thing: God isn’t waiting for you to be stronger; He’s inviting you to walk in His strength. Every step you take in faith pushes back darkness and strengthens your spiritual walk with Him.
You’re not called to do this alone. When you walk with others who love Jesus, they help you stay close to Him and remind you of who you are when you forget. Real freedom grows in real relationships, with God and with people who point you to Him.
Application: Write down Galatians 5:1 and put it somewhere you’ll see it. Declare it over your life every morning.
3.) FREEDOM LEADS TO FRUITFULNESS.
Galatians 5:22-23 NLT [22] But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, [23] gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!
When you walk in freedom, your life produces the kind of fruit that impacts others. As Jesus moves in your heart, the way you speak, think, and treat people begins to change. You become someone who brings hope, peace, and kindness wherever you go. That’s when ministry becomes real, when others start to see Jesus through you, even without you saying a word.
Application: Read Galatians 5:22–23. Circle the fruit you want God to grow in you most and pray about it this week.
Questions: What are the biggest struggles or distractions I’m facing right now? Who can I be honest with about what I’m walking through? What does it look like to live in freedom, not fear? How would walking in freedom help me lead others better?
