For some, it’s the first day of school. For others, it’s a new job, a new routine, or the same responsibilities with a fresh set of challenges.
New seasons bring change: new faces, new schedules, new opportunities, and sometimes, new fears.
But no matter what’s changing around you, one truth stays the same: God created you on purpose, for a purpose, and with a purpose.
You’re not here by accident. And this season, whatever it looks like, is not just something to “get through.” It’s a God-given opportunity to grow into who He’s calling you to be.
This week, we’re reminding ourselves of something powerful: YOU WERE MADE FOR THIS.
Not to fade into the background, but to live with purpose, boldness, and an identity rooted in who God says you are.
THREE TRUTHS TO BUILD YOUR IDENTITY ON
ONE | GOD DOESN’T MAKE MISTAKES, HE MAKES MASTERPIECES.
We live in a world where it’s easy to feel like you're just another face in the crowd. You scroll past highlight reels of people who seem smarter, better-looking, and more popular, and you start believing you're not enough.
But Ephesians 2:10 flips that lie on its head.
Ephesians 2:10 NLT "For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago."
You’re not average. You’re hand-crafted by the Creator of the universe. Whether you’re a student walking into a crowded hallway or an adult stepping into a meeting room, you weren’t made to blend in, you were made to stand out as God’s masterpiece.
TWO | GOD KNEW YOU BEFORE YOU EVER KNEW HIM.
Jeremiah 1:5 NLT "I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations."
Before your first mistake. Before your biggest success. Before you even knew who you were, God already knew you, chose you, and set you apart.
That’s true for middle schoolers, parents, business owners, and retirees alike.
You don’t have to earn God’s attention or qualify for His love. He’s not waiting for you to get your act together before He uses you. He already chose you with full knowledge of your flaws, doubts, and struggles, and He still said, “That one’s mine.”
THREE | GOD WANTS THE REAL YOU.
God isn’t after perfection; He’s after your heart. He doesn’t need a performance, a fake smile, or spiritual-sounding words. What He wants is a real, honest, everyday relationship with you. The kind where you talk to Him like you would a close friend.
A genuine relationship with God will always be more powerful than a performance for people. God doesn’t want the version of you, you think He wants; He wants the real you.
New seasons aren’t just for students, they’re for all of us. The same God who created you on purpose is still writing your story. Wherever you are, whatever you do, you were made for this.
