A Panola County woman arrested in 2022 for shooting at another person in a Senatobia neighborhood has been sentenced in Tate County Circuit Court.
Documents show Myeasha Latrice House, 30, of Sardis, was ordered to serve five years in Mississippi Department of Corrections and 15 years post-release supervision after pleading guilty to drive-by shooting.
A report from the Senatobia Police Department states officers were dispatched to the intersection of East Gilmore and Scott Streets on June 1, 2022, after receiving calls of a shooting in the area at approximately 6 p.m.
An uninjured female subject on scene told police another female, she identified as House, fired a gun at her while she was sitting in a vehicle at the intersection. One round struck the vehicle near where the subject was sitting, according to the report.
Senatobia police put out a BOLO on the suspect including a description of the vehicle she was driving. Meanwhile, an investigator with the Senatobia Police Department reviewed the incident and developed enough probable cause to arrest House, the report states. Surrounding law enforcement agencies were alerted to detain the suspect once she was located.
Officials with the Panola County Sheriff’s Department took House into custody at approximately 7:30 p.m., occupying the described vehicle. She was transported by police officers to Senatobia and officially charged.
House, who was indicted by the Tate County Grand Jury in March 2023, was released from the Tate County Jail under a $200,000 bond.
