Gregory Edward Shows, 51, of Coldwater, MS went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on October 28, 2022. He was born May 2, 1971, to Hank and Frankie Shows in Hattiesburg, MS. Greg was in the car business for years and loved it. He had his own business in Senatobia, MS and was a Car Dealer in Columbus, MS. He was currently employed as the Office Manager at Darby Tires in Olive Branch, MS. Greg loved people which was evident in his previous employment in coaching at Magnolia Heights School, Pillow Academy, and Heritage Academy. Greg was a graduate of Magnolia Heights School in Senatobia, MS, attended Northwest Mississippi Community College, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from MUW in Columbus, MS. He is remembered as a devoted father, as a loyal and loving friend, a wonderful uncle, brother, and son. He was a very respectful person. He loved watching his son, Suede, play baseball and his nephew, Cashe, play football. He also enjoyed watching Ole Miss football all his life. Greg is survived by his son, Saxon Suede Shows; mother, Frankie Shows; sister, Missy Gaines (Perry); brother, Russ Shows (Shely); uncle, James Larry Shows (Angie); nephews, Grif Gaines, Cashe Shows, and Jack Shows and niece, Crawford Shows. He was preceded in death by his father, Hank Shows; niece, Lindley Gaines; nephew, Shepard Shows; cousin, Brian Shows; maternal grandparents, Edward and Thelma Lindley Bryant and paternal grandparents, Aubrey and Helen Shows. “All those who knew him loved him.” Memorials may be sent to Hamilton Diamond Club (P.O. Box 194, Hamilton, MS 39746.) Services were held on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at First Baptist Church Coldwater. Burial followed in Senatobia Memorial Cemetery. Pate-Jones Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
