Although the seasons officially wrapped up for softball and girls’ soccer a couple weeks ago, the postseason honors have started to come in for several Magnolia Heights student-athletes.
MHS softball seniors Gracie Mettetal, Haylee Alberson, Elena Thompson and Morgan Jennings each received MAIS All-Star recognition, giving all four the chance to compete in the MAIS All-Star Game.
Held last week, the MAIS North team defeated the South team 4-1, coming fresh off the heels of the conclusion of the Lady Chiefs’ playoff run, which ended in the third round of the MAIS Class AAAA State Tournament.
Additionally, MHS soccer senior Morgan Nosef was named an MAIS All-Star, followed by an all-division honor for MHS goalkeeper Darby Woolever. Both players were instrumental in the improvements for the Lady Chiefs this season, despite falling just shy of a playoff berth.
