The cause of a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 55 that claimed the life of a Senatobia man remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
The fatal accident occurred Tuesday, Sept. 22, at approximately 7 a.m., just north of the Coldwater exit.
A man, identified by MHP spokesman Sgt. Marvin Baird as Jeremy R. Moss, 39, of Senatobia, was killed in the accident.
Baird said Moss was traveling southbound on I-55 near mile marker 171 when his 2016 Jeep Wrangler crossed the median and collided with a semi-trailer truck driven by Morgan Frye, 27, of Covington, La. Frye was not injured in the crash.
Interstate 55 was backed up between Hernando and Coldwater for several hours and traffic was temporarily diverted to U.S. Highway 51 as emergency personnel worked to clear the scene.
