Ethelene Meredith Strange, 95, of Thyatira, MS passed away December 30, 2020 at her residence.  She was preceded in death by her first husband, Wilbur Meredith, and husband, Ron Strange; Parents: Vuron and Alma Brandon; Sisters:  Ann Brandon, Maxine Holliman; Brothers:  Harvey Brandon, Raiford Brandon, Leon Brandon. She is survived by her daughters:  Wanda Carlisle (Russell) of Greenwood, AR and Mary Pugh (Terry) of Thyatira, MS; Sons:  William Meredith (Ellen) of Murfreesboro, TN and Phillip Meredith (Glenda) of Coldwater, MS; Stepdaughter:  Cathy Hicks (Marvin) of Sheffield, Alabama, Stepsons: Mike Strange (Marilyn) of Coldwater, MS and Johnny Strange (Trish) of Bartlett, TN; Sisters:  Avis Marr of Senatobia, MS; Betty Young of Olive Branch, MS and Carolyn Riley (Eddie) of Memphis, TN; Brother:  Carl Brandon (Mildred) of Holly Springs, MS; 14 Grandchildren, 28 Great-Grandchildren and numerous Great-great Grandchildren.  She was employed by Carter's for 30 years.  Memorials may be sent to Thyatira Church of Christ where she was a faithful member. A graveside service was held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 8, 2021 at Thyatira Cemetery. Chaplain Mark Luther and Officiants Oscar Geeslin and Tim West  conducted the service. Pallbearers were: Alan Carlisle, Brian Luther, Jeff McDaniel, Ben Meredith, Brandon Meredith, and Tim Meredith. Ronnie Meredith served as an Honorary Pallbearer.  Pate-Jones Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
