A local man was taken into custody in connection with sexually assaulting another person, according to authorities.
Investigator Destin Johnson from the Tate County Sheriff’s Office identified the subject as Tyler Hart, 28, of Coldwater. Hart was arrested and charged with sexual battery Monday, Sept. 18, and released from the Tate County Jail under a $100,000 bond.
Johnson said a complaint was filed Aug. 30 with TCSO regarding a sexual assault in the 1700 block of Poagville Road. Enough evidence and probable cause were uncovered during an investigation to charge Hart, according to Johnson.
The case remains under review by TCSO.
