A Tate County man charged earlier this year with attempting to meet a juvenile for sexual purposes will spend some time behind bars.
Documents from Tate County Circuit Court show Joseph Daniel Crabb, 38, of Coldwater, was ordered to concurrently serve two sentences of 30 days in Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) and 10 years post-release supervision after pleading guilty to two counts of enticement of a child.
A report states the Tate County Sheriff’s Office opened an investigation April 5, 2023, after an individual filed an in-person complaint. As a result of the investigation,
Crabb was charged May 5 with enticement of a child to meet for sexual purposes and detained at the Tate County under a $90,000 bond.
Crabb was indicted by the Tate County Grand Jury in July 2023.
