The Cosmopolitan Club held its October meeting in the lovely home of Debbie Perkins.
Sharon Williams presented an inspirational devotional entitled “I am a student” and chose 2 Timothy 2:15 as her scripture.
Literacy was the theme of the program, and each member named their favorite book during roll call.
Leader, Jean Bennett, introduced Rhonda Still as a guest since she is a local trustee on the Regional Library Board.
Another guest was Cindy Hale whose mother, Carolyn Hemphill Rials, was a life member of the Cosmopolitan Club. The club’s yearbook was dedicated in Mrs. Rial’s memory for this year.
The guest speaker was Jesse Pool who is head Librarian in both Senatobia and Coldwater. He said this is the 75th anniversary of the First Regional Library here in Senatobia. He was very informative in discussing all the various services that First Regional Library makes available to local citizens.
Members enjoyed a delicious assortment of refreshments prepared by the hostess, Debbie Perkins, for their first meeting of the 2025-26 year.
