Tate County has registered its 100th COVID-related death, according to the Mississippi State Department of Health.
Statistics from MSDH show an additional six deaths connected to coronavirus were reported in Tate County from Monday, Sept. 13 through Friday, Sept. 17, bringing the total number of deaths to the century mark since the pandemic began in March 2020.
An additional 135 cases of COVID-19 were also reported in Tate County from Sept. 13 through Sept. 17, to push the total number of cases to 4,202.
MSDH data indicates 39% of the population in Tate County has received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while 33% are fully vaccinated against the virus.
