Senatobia has the fastest growing home prices in the state, according to a recent study.
The website Stacker compiled a list of Mississippi cities with the fastest growing home prices using data from the real estate website Zillow. Cities were ranked by the dollar difference in Zillow Home Values Index for all homes from the previous 12 months ending April 2023.
Data was made available for 316 cities and towns in Mississippi. Home values in Senatobia, the top city on the list, grew by $20,602, or 10.8% over the last 12 months.
Coldwater was seventh on the list as home values increased $15,059, or 8.3%, in the previous 12 months and Sarah ranked 11th as home values jumped $14,501, or 8.4%.
The top five Mississippi cities listed in order were Senatobia, Flowood, Madison, Oxford, and Bay St. Louis.
Other northwest Mississippi cities listed in the top 50 include: Oxford (5th) Horn Lake (6th), Coldwater (7th), Batesville (8th), Walls (9th), Sarah (11th), Hernando (13th), Sardis (21st), Holly Springs (25th), Nesbit (34th), Waterford (37th), Southaven (40th), Olive Branch (43rd), and Byhalia (45th).
