2 Corinthians 5:9-11
Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that everyone may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.
Why persuade others? ( 1) That we may be accepted by Him
(2)To prepare ourselves for judgement, (3) because we fear the Lord
What do people need to be persuaded about?
Their sins Acts 11:18
“When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.”
2 Corinthians 7:10 10For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
John 16:8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
Their need for a savior
John 8:24 Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.”
How do we persuade others?
Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and for the Greek.
Everyone is in need of the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. it is our duty as Christians to spread the gospel to seek to save the lost
We invite you to come worship with the Church of Christ, we meet every lords day at Van Dorn street in Grenada.
