Claudia Ann Busby Carpenter, 85, passed away on May 5, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. Claudia was born on August 27, 1936 in Wakefield, Mississippi to Albert and Era Busby. She was an avid church goer and a faithful servant to her Lord Jesus Christ. Claudia worked at Carter’s, then she became a housewife. She was best known as “MawMaw” to all, her joy in life was keeping her grandchildren and then spending time with her great grandchildren. She loved to cook for her family on Sundays. Funeral Services were held Saturday - May 7, 2022 at Brantley-Phillips Funeral Home - 2470 Hwy 51 S - Hernando, Mississippi. Interment followed on the family farm. Claudia was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Era Busby and her husband, Bobby Carpenter. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, J. T. Busby, Lonnie Ray Busby, William Busby, Inell Moncrief, Bonnie McFarlin and Sally Young. Claudia leaves behind to continue her legacy her three children, Beverly Farrow (Mike), Stevie Carpenter (Pam), and Robin Young (George). She also leaves behind eight grandchildren; Holli Gross (Jeff), Christopher Young (Amy), Brett Cleveland (April), Ashley Gideon (Noble), Katie Hobson (Andrew), West Carpenter (Stefanie), Kara Treadway (Zachary)and Walker Carpenter. She also leaves behind thirteen great-grandchildren; Landon and Turner Gross, Cayden, Camren and Collins Young, Callie, Carlie and Cody Cleveland, Mila and Maya Gideon, Ellie Mae and Josiah Carpenter and Addelyn Hobson.
