There will be plenty of local outdoor entertainment options during the month of May.
5 Star City Fest, which was eventually cancelled last year after several postponements due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will be held Friday, May 7 and Saturday, May 8 in downtown Senatobia.
The two-day event, packed full of food and fun for the whole family, will feature live music on Front Street, a 5K race, arts and crafts booths, corn hole tournament, steak cook off and barbecue contest, kids zone and classic car show.
More information including times and a roster of events for 5 Star City Fest will be released by the Senatobia Main Street Chamber of Commerce at a later date and printed in the Tate Record.
The Tate County Fair also returns this year from Wednesday, May 19 through Saturday, May 22, after a one year hiatus because of the pandemic. In its absence, the Tate County Fair Board hosted a four-day carnival in October with rides and food that provided local residents with entertainment to help usher in the fall season.
This year’s Fair will include a wide variety of events such as a Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) Rodeo, livestock show and Tate County-based Redeemed Wrestling will feature a full card of matches.
A full schedule of events, complete with dates and times, will be included in a future edition of the Tate Record. For more information, visit www.tatecountyfair.com
