Christian Lee Murphree, 50, entered her heavenly home on July 1, 2022, at Tunica Health and Rehab in Tunica, MS, where she was greeted by her heavenly Father Jesus Christ and her earthly father Larry Wayne Murphree. Christian entered her earthly home on July 11, 1971, at the Walnut Ridge Hospital in Walnut Ridge, AR, to her parents Larry Wayne Murphree and Sharon Blair Whitworth. Christian is survived by her mother Sharon Blair (Gary) Whitworth; a son Scotty Wayne Murphree, special friend Mitchell Ticer; two sisters: Tiffany and Shelley; an aunt Kay (Glenn) McElhaney; uncles: Wayne (Patsy) Blair, Stanley (Judy) Blair, Greg (Denise) Blair, and Kenneth (Beverly) Murphree; her grandparents Dewey and Garneita Murphree; and several nephews, nieces and cousins. Christian was preceded in death by her father Larry Wayne Murphree and her maternal grandparents Huel and Bessie Blair. Funeral services were held Monday, July 4, 2022, at Parker Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bruce, MS, with Rev. Gregg Hurt, pastor Highland Baptist Church in Senatobia, MS officiating. Special music was by her uncle, Ken Murphree. Burial followed in Bruce Cemetery. Michael Guy, Glenn McElhaney, Kenneth Murphree, Scotty Murphree, Jason Owens, and Mitchell Ticer served as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gideons International.
