The chains that we will wear
Growing up we have all watched the story of Ebenezer scrooge , and all cringed when he sees his two partners that have passed away , we sees the chains that they carry, and we remember that they tell him that these chains are forged in life for the bad things one does, and they tell Scrooge that his are bigger than these.
This is not all fiction
What does the bible say about sins 1 timothy 5:24 Some men’s sins are clearly evident, preceding them to judgment, but those of some men follow later.
Galatians 5:19 says, “Now, the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness.”
Galatians 5:20 says, “Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresy.”
Galatians 5:21 says, “Envying’s, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”
These sins will be like chains on us in a place of torment, chains that like scrooge could be avoided, but Scrooge asked if his future could be changed?
Can our future be changed? Those in the book of acts asked a similar question and
Jesus had Peter say in acts 2:38 repent and be baptized for the remission of your sins
