Beverly Jean Archer Miles, 72, of Como, Miss., passed away at home on July 1, 2025 after a long illness.
She was the first woman from Mississippi to become a certified volunteer firefighter.
She was a retired dispatcher at Horseshoe Casino.
Beverly was known to many as Harmony the clown, where she brought smiles to so many. She was a servant of the Lord and is resting peacefully in His arms.
She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Mary Sue Archer, her brother, John Archer, her loving husband, Parson ‘Butch’ Miles, her sister, Sandra Morris and her daughter, Francesca (Frankie) Lachina.
She leaves behind her sister, Peggy Crouch, son, Claude Miles (Laurie) of Hernando, daughters, Theresa Spencer (Raymond) of Como, and Shirley Yelverton (Mark) of Independence, 10 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She also leaves a niece, Sharon Raiteri (Ricky) of Como. She will be missed by so many others.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Noon at Oak Grove Church, 32 County Rd 514 in Como. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until Noon.
