Annie Laura “Anne” Christmas (Coleman) of Hernando, MS passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on Wednesday night October 5, 2022. Anne was born July 1, 1939 to her parents Henry Allen Coleman Sr. and Annie Shelton Coleman of Coldwater, MS. She grew up as part of a close knit family with 9 siblings. Anne is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Robert, Henry Allen Jr., and Limuel, and sisters Nora, Glynn, and Virginia. She is survived by her husband Jack; her son Brian; grandchildren Lyndsey (Adam) Landers and Chase Christmas; great grandchildren Luke, Delylah, Jett, Camden, and Austin; siblings Ruth Bryant, Milton (Rosa) Coleman, and Minor Coleman. Anne worked as an administrative assistant at Memphis Light, Gas, & Water for 27 years. She was married to the love of her life for nearly 60 years, and they built a beautiful life together. She was an avid Memphis Tigers basketball fan, and cheered for them up until the very end. She was a Christian woman who showed her love of Christ through her love and compassion for others. Her family and friends will miss her dearly but know that she is rejoicing in the presence of her Lord and Savior. Services were held Monday, October 10, 2022 at Pate-Jones Funeral Home. Burial followed in Scotland Cemetery.
