A woman has been arrested in connection with stealing from a Coldwater convenience store.
Police Chief Rickey Dandridge said Brittany Briank Allen, 37, of Coldwater, was taken into custody Thursday, Jan. 16, and charged with felony embezzlement. She was detained at the Tate County Jail under a $7,500 bond.
Dandridge said an officer on patrol observed a subject attempting to get into Mike’s Time Saver at 675 West Service Road. The manager arrived on scene and reopened the store before advising police Allen, a store employee, had taken a large sum of money and closed the store which operates 24 hours.
A warrant was issued for Allen’s arrest following an investigation by Coldwater police. This incident remains under investigation by the CPD.
