Albert Sherman Hensley, 78, of Strayhorn, MS, passed away on June 26, 2022 at his residence. He is survived by his wife, Dale McMaster Hensley of 55 years; daughter, Amanda Hensley Daughtry (Daryl); son, Robert S. "Bob" Hensley (Linda); sister, Juanita Brown; sister in law, Kay Hensley; brother, Tommy Hensley (Patsy); grandchildren, Jesika, Lee (Mary Carole), Houston (Shelby), Leanna (T.J.), Logan, Landon, Sara Beth, Katie and Hensley; great-grandchildren, Easten, Coy, Sophie, Gatlin, Aubrey, Ava, Grant, and Josiah and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Willie Hensley and brother, Oliver Lee Hensley. Mr. Hensley was a farmer, gardener and an outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing and taking care of others. Services were held Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Strayhorn Baptist Church where he was a member. Burial followed in Bethesda Cemetery. Any memorials may be sent to Strayhorn Baptist Church. Pate-Jones Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
