Students at Strayhorn schools were dismissed early on Tuesday, April 24, after a threatening note was found on the high school campus around 10 a.m.

Tate County Sheriff Brad Lance said the situation was treated as a bomb threat and the high school and elementary buildings were evacuated as a precaution.

Lance said bomb-sniffing dogs searched the campus for nearly an hour before an "all-clear" was issued.

Classes were cancelled at Strayhorn around noon.
