Senatobia schools are on high alert this week after receiving several online violent and racist threats.

A person named with the profile name David White posted on Facebook late Sunday, April 15, ‘I am shooting up senatobia high and Senatobia middle school tomorrow be on a watch out.’

That same person posted three more violent messages on Facebook late Tuesday, April 17.

Senatobia Police Chief Steve Holts said extra officers from his department, along with the Tate County Sheriff’s Office, are patrolling Senatobia school campuses and Magnolia Heights School as a precaution.

Holts said the source of the threats is under investigation by his department, along with officials from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI).
