Mary Louise Hannah

Mary Louise Hannah, 71, homemaker of Memphis, Tenn., passed away on January 27, 2017. Graveside services were held at Southwood Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis, Tenn. on Friday, February 3 at 11:00 a.m. 

She is survived by her daughter, Nathea Hannah of Memphis, Tenn.; son, Demetrius Hannah of Lafayette, La.; and one grandchild.

Rodgers Funeral Home in Coldwater had charge of the arrangements.



Tolbert Lee Jeffries


Tolbert Lee Jeffries, 87, of Memphis, Tenn., passed away on January 27, 2017. Funeral services were held at Robert Chapel CME Church in Coldwater on Saturday, February 4. 

He is survived by his wife, Annie Pearl Jeffries; daughters, Corine Jacox of St. Marys, Ga., Barbara Jeffries of Memphis, Tenn., Vernice McGee of Memphis, Tenn., Myra Jeffries of Memphis, Tenn., Barbara Morrow of Olive Branch, Nettie Jones of Memphis, Tenn., and Latrece Farris of Memphis, Tenn.; sons, Eugene Jeffries of Memphis, Tenn., Tolbert Lee Jeffries Jr. of Memphis, Tenn., Joseph Jefrries of Las Vegas, Nev., Roland Jeffries of Memphis, Tenn., Karl Jeffries of Memphis, Tenn., Myron Minnis of Virginia Beach, Va.; sister, Progenia Jeffries of Memphis, Tenn.; brothers, Leland Jeffries of Chicago, Ill., Otha Lee Jeffries of Chicago, Ill., Henry Jeffries of Dallas, Texas, Euford Jeffries of Coldwater, and Lee Jeffries of Coldwater; 31 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren.

Rodgers Funeral Home in Coldwater had charge of the arrangements.



Melba Darlene Mays


Melba Darlene Mays, 66, factory worker, of Coldwater, passed away on January 29, 2017. Funeral services were held at Mt. Olive MB Church in Byhalia on Sunday, February 5, at 1:00 p.m. Burial followed in Hopewell Church Cemetery in Coldwater. She was a member of Generation Church Ministry in Sardis.

She is survived by her daughters, Janet Dean of Coldwater, Dorothea Dean of Coldwater and Belinda Ann McClarty of Byhalia; sons, Henry Louis Mays of Seattle, Washington, Jessie Mays of Coldwater, and Mareon Mays of Coldwater; sisters, JoAnn Bolton of Coldwater, Cathelean Brown of Sandusky, Ohio, Pamela Bridges of Memphis, Tenn.; brothers, Wesley Bolton of Senatobia, and Eric Bolton of Memphis, Tenn.; 22 grandchildren; and 23 great grandchildren.
