Authorities continue to search for missing Senatobia resident Livia Harris.

Harris was last seen on Saturday, March 8, at her home. According to Senatobia Police Department Investigator Lisa Sanders, Harris left a note for family members that stated she was going to take care of an errand in Como.

According to Sanders, Harris also left a second note that Sanders believes could be interpreted in a number of ways.

Sanders said the Senatobia Police Department received a call later that day from Arkansas authorities requesting a welfare check at Harris’ home after her empty car was discovered still running and blocking traffic on the West Helena bridge.

Authorities in Panola, DeSoto, Coahoma, and Phillips counties have aided in water, ground, and air searches.

According to Sanders, the Senatobia Police Department received a call from an Arkansas woman on Monday, March 10, reporting a possible sighting of Harris in front of Hays Supermarket in West Helena, 21 miles from the bridge where her car was found.

The caller said she recognized Harris from news reports and that she appeared to be disoriented as she walked around in front of the store.

The witness was questioned by Phillips County Sheriff’s Office authorities, who are handling the investigation, and the tip was followed up, though nothing has come of it, so far.

Harris is five feet, four inches tall, weighing 135 pounds. She has blonde hair, blue eyes, and wears glasses.

A prayer vigil will be held at Wyatte Baptist Church in Senatobia on Saturday, from noon to 1 p.m.

Anyone with any information as to the whereabouts of Harris are urged to call the Phillips County Sheriff’s Office at (870) 338-5555, the Senatobia Police Department at (662) 562-5643, or the Tate County CrimeStoppers  at (662) 301-1111.
