Native Memphian Anne Hall Norris will be the guest speaker at October's meeting of Lunch with Books.

The meeting will take place Tuesday, October 19 at noon in the Senatobia Public Library.

Norris, 80, is a noted storyteller and a member of the Memphis Storyteller's League. She has also served as past president of the organization. Norris is also a former member of the National League of Pen Women.

She has authored three published books, The Charm Bracelet and Other Stories, Uncle Nip, and Aunt Zeenie. Norris will have copies of her books available at the meeting.

In addition to her writing and storytelling abilities, Norris has also displayed a bit of an adventurous side.
A former pilot and participant in all-women cross-country air races, Norris recently participated in a sky dive to celebrate her 80th birthday.

Her other activities include membership of the Methodist Healthcare Auxiliary as a Pink Lady volunteer for nearly two decades, and membership at CrossRoads United Methodist Church in Collierville, where she is an adult Sunday School teacher and leader of children's sermons.

During her 32-year career with the International Association of Holiday Inns, Inc., Norris has visited over 35 foreign countries.

She resides in Collierville with her husband Felix, a high school classmate. She is the mother of two sons and a daughter, and has four granddaughters and one great-grandson.

Bring a sack lunch; drinks and dessert will be provided.
